Insurope Spotlight: HSBC Life Singapore Champions a New Era of Preventive Health

HSBC Life Singapore recently launched Live Life Well, a comprehensive wellness initiative designed to empower individuals, workplaces, and communities to take a more proactive approach to health. At its core is a simple yet impactful belief: true wealth begins with good health.

What makes this initiative particularly notable is its collaborative approach. Through a first of such public-private partnership, HSBC Life signed a memorandum of understanding with NHG Health to promote workplace wellness and community health. This partnership reflects a growing recognition that meaningful progress in health and wellbeing requires alignment across sectors.

The Live Life Well initiative is built on four key pillars:

Health Literacy

Rolling out multi-format content including newsletters, expert insights and short-form digital content to support the adoption of more informed everyday health decisions.

Healthier Workplaces

Embedding structured workplace health programs for HSBC Life’s corporate and employee benefits clients, including workforce health assessments and tailored intervention programs for employees.

Product innovation and inclusive insurance

Advancing product innovation and inclusive underwriting to broaden coverage for individuals managing chronic conditions and those previously excluded under traditional underwriting approaches*.

Philanthropy and community resilience

Scaling philanthropic initiatives focused on mental, physical and financial wellbeing, supported by employee volunteering programs.

Together, these pillars signal a shift from reactive care to proactive prevention—supporting a more sustainable healthcare ecosystem in Singapore.

HSBC Life is also playing an active role in the broader health ecosystem, including its involvement as a platinum sponsor of the Geromedicine Unlock Healthy Longevity Conference, organized by the NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity. Initiatives like this further reinforce the importance of collaboration between insurers, healthcare providers, academia, and public institutions.
